So it's been months since I've updated my journal, but I'm FINALLY getting around to answering those questions you guys asked =] OKAY here we go!!What do you plan on doing with your photographic career?/What are you majoring in?
Well I'm really doing photography as just a hobby. I just finished my first year in design, and although it was really stressful at times, I LOVE it
I'm still unsure in which direction I want go with, maybe I'll merge photography with design work in the future? I guess we'll have to wait and see =] What did you do to get where you are today?
Hmm it's really just a lot of going out and practicing. I really enjoy shooting outdoors, so every photoshoot helped me improve in working with natural light, directing models, camera angles, etc. I look at a lot of fashion magazines and make up tutorials to get me inspired to different looks and feels in photos.
I started off doing a lot of self portraits, eventually I got friends to model, then models around the area noticed my work and I guess it just expanded from there. Connections are really significant if you're into portrait photography. I'm still on the lookout of collaborating with stylists, make up artists and the like.Where do you get the most inspiration for your art?
I like to look at fashion campaigns and magazines for interesting colour pallets. Otherwise, scenes from those really emotional dramas, hahaa they give me ideas for emotions and stories that I may want to tell through pictures. How many years did you live in Germany? Und sprichst du deutsch?
I lived there for roughly 5 years, I had a lot of memorable childhood memories there. And for the second part of your question, I can still understand basic everyday conversations in german but have trouble piecing together sentences to actually speak it Why do you ignore comments? What's your favorite thing to eat when you need a pick-me-up?
haha nah I joke. I don't ignore comments, I read every comment I get and honestly, comments are my favourite part of this community. I really like reading the feedback and critiques you guys leave. Although I may not always be able to reply them, just know that I'm really grateful for you taking the time to write something =]
Hmm, as for what I'd have for a pick-me-up, it would definitely be coffee. It's saved me on numerous occasions =] I know it's not something you'd eat, but..yeah ;__;If you were to give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?
It would definitely be to not take things so seriously and try not to be so hard on myself. What's your biggest/ultimate dream/goal?
I'm still not quite sure what I want to specifically do with my art. But I just want to be able to make an impact on others. Otherwise, my ultimate goal is to be happy =] Why are you collecting random things? Ever think about using them in a collage?
I have no idea why I collect plastic bags and price tags. I've just kind of gotten into the habit of keeping them, I suppose a collage would be a really interesting idea What if you had a little mini panda? Would you be scared to hold it?
Hmm, truthfully, I've read that pandas are very strong animals that have claws that could probably tear me apart ;___; So yes, I would probably be terrified to hold it. DARN, why do they have to be so deceivingly cute!!BTW, I'm clearing out a ton of my stuff. So be on the lookout for a journal post sale in the future. I'm selling old magazines, lolita dresses, bags, etc. And of course prints and stuff =]
